Job summary

Small Wonders Big Ideas Family Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers across Illinois as an independent contractor.

You will assess, treat, and support development in play-based, family-centered sessions in the child’s natural environment, with a focus on collaboration with families and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Occupational Therapist license
• Appropriate Illinois Early Intervention credential or eligibility
• Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers
• Support development of fine motor, gross motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills
• Use developmentally appropriate, play-based intervention strategies
• Coach and collaborate with parents and caregivers
• Provide services in the child's natural environment
• Complete required clinical documentation in a timely manner
• Participate in IFSP and team collaboration as required
• Maintain Illinois licensure and Early Intervention credentials

What You'll Do

As an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Provide individualized occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers


• Support children's development of fine motor, gross motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills within your scope of practice


• Use developmentally appropriate, play-based intervention strategies


• Coach and collaborate with parents and caregivers


• Provide services in the child's natural environment


• Complete required clinical documentation in a timely manner


• Participate in IFSP and team collaboration as required


• Maintain required Illinois licensure and Early Intervention credentials

What We're Looking For

Compensation

Starting rate: $47 per completed 60-minute session
