Job summary

Therapy Care invites a speech-language pathologist (SLP) clinical fellow or experienced clinician to join our supportive, collaborative environment where you can grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in children's lives.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Illinois SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to collaboration, lifelong learning, and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of child's speech, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals based on assessment findings.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to children with a variety of communication needs using diverse approaches (e.g., play-based).
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support a child’s success.
• Integrate communication goals into educational programming, classroom activities, daily routines.
• Educate and support students, families, and caregivers regarding communication development and intervention strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress reports, treatment plans, and service records.

For more than 34 years, Therapy Care has provided exceptional support, resources, and mentorship to new and experienced clinicians, empowering them to deliver outstanding services to the children and families they serve. Our comprehensive clinical fellowship program is designed to help new graduates build confidence, develop clinical expertise, and transition successfully into independent practice. Experienced clinicians will be paired with another experienced clinician to collaborate on patient care, counseling families, and evidence-based research.

For new and experienced clinicians, we offer monthly collaborative meetings with other clinicians in your same setting (e.g., school, early intervention), quarterly collaborative and social dinners with Therapy Care clinicians, a very large lending library, in-house continuing education, and access to collaboration with an experienced SLP at any time.

Flexible scheduling, part-time options, and the ability to split time between school and early intervention settings. For experienced clinicians, we offer the opportunity to do disability evaluations under social security.

Compensation is available up to $60 per hour, based on experience, setting, and client placement. All employees are hired as W-2 employees and receive access to Therapy Care's comprehensive benefits package.
