Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a dedicated K-12 special education teacher in Colorado to diagnose and address learning, social, and emotional skill gaps within inclusive classrooms and district partnerships.

You will develop individualized lesson plans, implement PBIS-aligned strategies, maintain IEP/BIP documents, and collaborate with families and school teams to support diverse learners and help them shine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
• Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including to and from locations within the school.
