Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a dedicated special education teacher to support K-12 students requiring additional supports.

You will collaborate with school teams, families, and SESI’s instructional models to address learning, social, and emotional skill gaps in smaller class settings. Responsibilities include developing individualized lesson plans, maintaining IEPs and BIPs, and tracking student progress, while applying SESI’s CASE PBIS framework to promote positive behavior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
• Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Use SESI practices and curricula to teach, build confidence, and meet student needs.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management strategies, including de-escalation and safety procedures.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, and incident reports.
• Track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students during transitions within the school.
