Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking an ESE Coordinator to lead SPED programs, supervise SPED teachers, and ensure compliance with state laws and CSUSA policies. The role focuses on eligibility determinations, IEP/ITP processes, and collaboration with school teams and families.

Ideal candidates hold a BA/BS with a Masters preferred, SPED certification(s), and at least three years of teaching experience. This on-site position emphasizes data-informed decisions and program quality across CSUSA schools.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Certified in one area of Exceptional Education (two areas preferred).
• Minimum of three years successful teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct and manage SPED Teachers and school's SPED program.
• Compile and review evaluation data to determine eligibility of exceptional students.
• Maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable data.
• Provide consultant services to school staff on eligibility and placement.
• Educate parents about SPED programs and rights.
• Serve as liaison among SPED, regular education, and parents.
• Facilitate IEP/ITP/FS P/EP meetings and plans.
• Assist with inclusive procedures for CSUSA schools.
• Support least Restrictive Environment for SPED students.
• Provide technical assistance in disputes over IEP/ITP/EP.
• Travel to CSUSA school sites as required.
• Report FTE data to appropriate bodies.
• Recommend procedural/program improvements based on data.
