Job summary

DEBERRY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Springfield, MA is seeking a SPED Paraprofessional to support students with moderate to severe needs. You will work closely with a special educator to drive academic achievement, implement interventions, and maintain high expectations.

This role emphasizes collaboration with families and teachers in a fast-paced school setting. Starting immediately, Full-time for the school year, with a salary schedule of $22.69 to $27.35 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small case-load of students under supervision to drive academic achievement.
• Implement a rigorous academic and behavior intervention system.
• Provide high expectations and monitor standards across instruction.
• Support mastery of state, city, and school standards.
• Lead daily tutoring sessions for individuals and small groups.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Education

High school diploma or GED

60 Credit Hours of College Coursework or an Associate's Degree

ParaPro Assessment or WorkKeys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants
