Job summary

Poudre School District in Loveland, Colorado, seeks Paraprofessional I/II for Bamford Elementary to support students with mild to moderate disabilities within general and special education settings.

The role involves helping teachers with instruction, behavior support, IEP implementation, and supervision in classrooms and during transitions. Requires a high school diploma and one year of related experience; CPI training and other certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Minimum one year related experience helpful
• Experience with students with special needs preferred
• Equivalency of education and experience acceptable

Responsibilities

• Assist general/classroom or special education teacher by delivering instruction and supporting students.
• Guide classroom assignments, assessments and projects for students.
• Apply behavior strategies to address social, emotional, and academic needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions and emergencies.
• Assist students with mobility, personal care and health needs.
• Adapt instructional materials to accommodate disabilities and use assistive tech.
• Track student progress and help with planning, attendance and data collection.
• Participate in trainings and school-wide initiatives.
• Adapt to changing student needs and fill in for absent staff.
• Support school initiatives and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned
