Vertex Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support both general and special education teachers across classrooms and resource rooms. The role involves assisting individual students or small groups, collecting performance data, and helping implement tailored strategies to meet diverse needs.

Responsibilities include materials management, supervision during school activities, and collaboration with teachers, staff, and families.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional assessment completed successfully (if applicable).
• Texas background checks required, FBI fingerprint check if not already on file.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces learning by working with individual students or small groups.
• Supports students in general education and pull-out rooms.
• Assists in collecting data on student performance across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains.
• Helps teachers devise strategies tailored to each student’s needs.
• Distributes and collects instructional materials and assists with technology use.
• Supervises students during drills, assemblies, lunch, and field trips.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical standards for student information.
• Attends problem-solving/IEP meetings and contributes updates on progress.
• Assists in maintaining records and preparing instructional materials.
• Assists with transportation between campuses and helps with personal hygiene tasks as needed.
