Job summary

Wonderful College Prep Academy is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant to work with lead teachers in classrooms and related settings, including lunch and recess. You will support students with behavioral, medical, and academic needs, providing 1:1 or small group instruction and interventions to help them reach ambitious outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families, ongoing professional development, and compliance with district procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Substitute Permit preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
• Experience with school-aged children, especially with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group instruction as determined by supervisor.
• Support students' behavioral, medical, and academic needs and interventions.
• Lead the classroom in the absence of the lead teacher.
• Assist with supervision before, during, and after school as needed.
• Prepare and maintain records and assist with compliance activities.
