Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Associate degree or higher from a PSC-approved college or university.
• 60 sem. hours or 90 qtr. hours with GPA 2.0 or higher from a PSC-approved college.
• Valid PSC-approved paraprofessional certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assists students with educational, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in the classroom and community.
• Provides small group or individualized instruction under teacher plans.
• Monitors students and supports classroom management to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Supports assessment tasks and data collection for progress monitoring.
• Implements accommodations and modifications per IEPs with fidelity.
