Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or 60 credit hours or higher from a PSC-approved college is accepted.
• A valid PSC-approved paraprofessional certificate is required.
• Pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct instructional support to students under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Reinforces academic content in whole group, small group, and one-on-one settings.
• Assists with assessment of student performance and other recordkeeping tasks as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA and district policies.
• Assists with health-related care as needed and under appropriate supervision.
