Job summary

Washington County Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Special Education Itinerant Adult Support at Lincolnshire Elementary School. The role provides direct support to students with IEPs, helping them develop academic, behavioral, and social skills under the guidance of teachers and the BCBA Coordinator.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, and an AA degree or Praxis—plus CPI certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Highly Qualified status (AA degree, 48 credit hours, or passed Praxis).
• Ability to attain CPI certification and other required trainings.
• Two years of experience working with children or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce/model academic, behavioral, and social skills.
• Recognize, observe, and document behaviors to support data collection for progress monitoring.
• Document and submit data for progress reports and other required records.
• Assist the teacher in devising strategies to reinforce skills and instruction.
• Assist with supervision and management of students during instructional and non-instructional times.
