Job summary

Little Elm ISD is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Self Contained Special Education Classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. Reports to the campus principal and works under the supervision of a certified teacher in a self-contained SPED setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred; Two years of study at an Institution of Higher Learning or NCLB compliant equivalent.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate required/preferred.
• Experience with children in self-care or behavior supports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help teachers prepare instructional materials and student learning-support materials.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory and equipment.
• Assist with data tracking of behavioral intervention plans and administrative reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist with implementation of IEPs under teacher supervision.
