Job summary

Little Elm Elementary is seeking an Instructional Assistant-BASE to support students with disabilities in both self-contained and general education settings. You will work under a certified teacher and campus principal to implement classroom programs, assist with IEPs, and help maintain an organized learning environment.

The role requires adherence to district policies, FERPA confidentiality, and capability to manage behavior support and data tracking.

Qualifications

• Assists students with disabilities in self-help, behavior support, and instructional activities.
• Works under supervision of a certified teacher and campus principal.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows FERPA and district policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instructional materials and learning-support resources.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom and assist in inventory and equipment care.
• Support teachers with documentation and required reports.
• Assist substitute teachers with orientation and classroom routines.
• Track and support behavior intervention plans for individual students.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, bus, and arrival/dismissal times.
