Mesa County Valley School District 51 is seeking a SPED Generalist for a Moderate Needs position at Bookcliff Middle School (High-Needs). The role focuses on implementing IEPs, delivering evidence-based instruction, and supporting inclusive practices across settings.

The candidate will collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and service providers to monitor student progress and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required
• Valid Colorado Department of Education Educator License with Special Education Generalist endorsement
• Quality Behavior Solutions certification (QBS) must be obtained within 60 days of hire

Responsabilidades

• Plan, develop, and implement instructional programs aligned to district curriculum and IEPs.
• Provide instruction in whole-group, small-group, and individualized settings.
• Monitor and adjust instruction based on progress data and IEP goals.
• Communicate with families and staff regarding student progress and services.
• Coordinate with paraprofessional staff to support service delivery.
• Complete required special education documentation per timelines and policy.

Educación

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required
