Job summary

Denver Public Schools in Denver, CO is seeking itinerant SPED Float Teachers for the 2026/2027 school year as an ongoing pool that stays open until filled. Float teachers adapt general education lessons and teach students with mild to moderate disabilities, traveling frequently across the district to support learners at multiple schools.

You will work with IEPs, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and staff to ensure equitable access to high-quality education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license.

Responsibilities

• Adapt general education lessons for students with disabilities.
• Teach subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Travel frequently throughout the district as a float teacher.
• Monitor and report student progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators per IEPs.
