New Story Schools in-District Services (IDS) seeks a Special Education Floating Paraprofessional to assist students across multiple districts, working with teachers to support academic, behavioral, and daily living goals. The role involves coverage where needed to ensure continuity of services and a positive learning experience.

The position requires flexibility, teamwork, data collection, and the ability to implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide paraprofessional support across multiple school districts and classroom settings based on staffing and student needs.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, classroom activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure consistent student support.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Serve as a reliable resource for schools requiring temporary or supplemental student support.
