Genesee Lake School seeks a Float- Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities across classrooms and settings. This flexible position adapts to evolving needs rather than being tied to one classroom long-term.

You will collaborate with families, therapists, and teams to deliver individualized instruction, assist in IEP processes, and promote seamless student support. The role emphasizes professional growth and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary/Secondary Education, Human Services, or related field.
• State Teaching Certification in Special Education or General Education (or eligible for alternative/provisional licensure).
• Strong communication, empathy, team leadership, and trauma-informed care are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Review records of incoming students and determine classroom inclusion.
• Step in as temporary IEP case manager to ensure IEPs are updated and aligned with student needs.
• Collaborate with families, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to support IEP development and service delivery.
• Lead IEP meetings, maintain compliance, and monitor student goals.
