Job summary

Sylvania in Utah is seeking an Aide – SPED Essential Elements to support instructional program for students with severe disabilities. You will assist with classroom instruction, implement IEP goals, and monitor student health and progress under supervision.

The position is about 22 hours per week; requires high school diploma and ability to lift and assist students; health and daily living tasks experience is helpful; non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Adhering to safety practices and procedures.
• Operating classroom technology and office equipment.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials under supervision to meet instructional objectives.
• Assist students with severe disabilities in completing tasks and daily living activities.
• Provide health-related assistance and personal care as directed.
• Monitor student safety and progress during classroom activities.
• Participate in IEP goal implementation and instructional planning.
• Maintain instructional materials and records for program documentation.
• Observe and document student progress and report to staff.
• Attend meetings and training related to special education services.
• Participate in IEP meetings to support goals implementation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
