Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an Aide – SPED Essential Elements in Utah to support students with severe disabilities. The role involves assisting with instruction, daily living tasks, and monitoring progress under the teacher’s supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supporting students with disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to operate classroom tech and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials under supervision to meet objectives.
• Assist students with severe disabilities with instructional tasks and daily living activities.
• Provide health-related assistance and personal care as directed.
• Monitor student safety and behavior during activities.
• Observe and document student progress for staff communication.
• Attend trainings and IEP meetings as appropriate.
