Job summary

Sylvania in Utah is seeking a part-time Aide – SPED Resource to support students with mild to moderate disabilities. The role assists with instruction, helps implement IEP goals, and helps maintain a safe learning environment.

The position is Monday through Friday, approximately 25 hours per week, with duties including personal care support, behavior monitoring, collaboration with teachers, and attendance at district trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with instructional supports for students with disabilities.
• Clear background check and mandated reporter training.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities to reinforce objectives.
• Assist medically fragile or disabled students with personal care.
• Implement IEP goals and related behavioral plans.
• Provide individual and small group instructional support.
• Monitor students during classroom activities.
• Maintain instructional materials and student records.
• Communicate with teachers and staff on student progress.
• Attend meetings and trainings related to student support.
• Respond to emergency situations involving students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
