Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Gainesville, FL. The role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis, unpacking and routing specimens, labeling, and shipping to testing facilities.

You will transfer patient data accurately and support production goals in a fast-paced environment. The position may require working Monday–Friday, 6:00pm–2:30am, with a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 or more years experience in lab/accessioning or production/manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
