Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our Tucker, GA team. The role involves preparing clinical specimens for analysis in a fast-paced environment with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities include labeling, routing, packaging and shipping specimens, data entry, and maintaining accuracy to meet production goals. A high school diploma or GED is required; prior lab experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
