Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team in Tampa, FL. The role supports specimen preparation, labeling, routing and shipping, with a focus on accuracy and turnaround time. The position requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 12:00am – 8:30am (rotating Sundays). Applicants should be comfortable handling biological specimens and able to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification is a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 3+ months of specimen processing experience.
• Preferred: 3+ months of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information.
• Resolve and document any problematic specimens.
