Job summary

Square Care Laboratory is seeking a Specimen Processor - Accessioning to support molecular workflows. You will ensure accurate receipt, labeling, and routing of specimens, while maintaining data integrity and workflow efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong data-entry skills, and knowledge of medical terminology; 2 years of lab experience is preferred. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; strong data entry skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• 2 years’ experience as a lab assistant, specimen processor, or relevant experience in a lab is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process specimens consistent with testing requirements, including proper identification and transport requirements.
• Identify and label specimens accurately and distribute them to the appropriate testing area.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties.
• Organize and monitor lab supplies to maintain inventory levels.
• Communicate specimen non-conformities to technical staff and leadership.
• Clean and maintain the work area and all lab equipment.
• Follow health and safety regulations when handling specimens.
• Comply with lab procedures and safety procedures.
• Assist technical staff and leadership with additional duties as needed.
