Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Laboratory Support professional to accurately receive and process a variety of specimens, ensuring integrity and correct accessioning in the LIS/HIS. You will handle centrifugation, aliquoting, labeling, and timely distribution to lab sections.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; one year of related experience preferred, plus NJDOH packaging & shipping certification. On‑site role with comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Training in Specimen Processing; NJDOH Certification for Packaging and Shipping Division 6.2 Hazardous Materials (Biological substances A/B).

Responsibilities

• Accurately receives a variety of specimen types and determines specimen integrity.
• Process specimens including centrifugation and aliquoting to produce testing material.
• Keeps LIS/HIS input and retrieval of patient information accurate.
• Responds to STAT specimens immediately and maintains infection control practices.
