Job summary

Capital Women's Care Laboratory is seeking an Accessioner I to support cytology, histology, and molecular specimen processing. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, proper specimen labeling, and daily clerical tasks in a clinical lab setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, familiarity with medical terminology, and 2 years of lab support experience. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with benefits designed to support personal and professional growth within the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong data entry skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• 2 years’ experience as a lab assistant, specimen processor, or relevant lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process specimens according to testing requirements.
• Identify and accurately label specimens and distribute to testing areas.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties.
• Organize and monitor lab supplies to maintain inventory levels.
• Communicate specimen non-conformities to technical staff or leadership.
• Clean and maintain work area and lab equipment.
• Follow health and safety regulations when handling specimens.
• Comply with chemical hygiene and lab safety procedures.
• Comply with all lab procedures, processes, and methodologies.
• Assist technical staff and leadership with additional duties as needed.
