Labcorp is seeking a dedicated Specimen Processing and Accessioning team member for Overland Park, KS. This role will prepare specimens for analysis, unpack and route them to staging areas, and ensure accurate labeling and consolidation for testing.

Responsibilities include packing and shipping specimens, meeting production goals, and entering patient data with precision. A high school diploma or GED and some lab experience are preferred, with comprehensive benefits available.

Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Overland Park, KS.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 08:00 PM - 04:30 AM Employee can expect to average between 42-50 hours total a week dependent on volume, absences, etc… Mandatory Saturday or Sunday rotation every 5-6 weeks. Weekend shift is typically 4-6 hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualification

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior Labcorp experience
• 6 months or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
• 6 months or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
