Job summary

Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services and is seeking a dedicated individual to join the Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Overland Park, KS.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00pm-7:30am. Responsibilities include preparing specimens, labeling, packing, data entry, and meeting production goals. Prior lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
• 6 months or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory
• Preferred: Labcorp experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens; pack and ship to proper testing facilities; meet department activity and production goals
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner; resolve and document any problem specimens

Work Schedule

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00pm-7:30am

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Resolve and document any problem specimens

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred Qualification: Current or prior Labcorp experience
• 6 months or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
• 6 months or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory

Job Standards

Additional Job Standards Comfortable handling biological specimens Ability to accurately identify specimens Experience working in a team environment Strong data entry and organizational skills High level of attention to detail Proficient in MS Office Ability to lift up to 40lbs. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test .
