Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Technician I to join the Specimen Processing team. This part-time, on-site role supports accessioning, processing, and quality control of specimens in a fast-paced clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities include preparing slides, reagents, transport materials, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring specimen integrity and timely workflow. Training opportunities and benefits eligible employment are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Basic science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accession/specimen processing and evaluation.
• Operate and calibrate instrumentation and perform QC tasks.
• Inventory management and restock supplies.
• Provide strong customer service and teamwork.
• Train staff, students, and fellows on procedures.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
