Job summary

Labcorp in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team. You will prepare specimens for analysis, unpack and route them to staging areas, and accurately label samples.

This role supports high-throughput workflows, ensures data entry accuracy, and helps meet production goals while handling specimens safely. The schedule runs 9:00am-2:00pm and 9:00am-7:00pm on specified days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
