Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our Brick, NJ team. This role supports clinical specimen accessioning, data entry, and ensuring accurate labeling and handling in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, with 6 months or more of lab, medical, or production experience. You will work Monday–Friday 6:00pm–2:30am with rotating Saturdays, and must be able to lift up to 40lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• 6 months of medical or production experience.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
