Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our fast-paced laboratory team. This role focuses on accessioning, preparing specimens for analysis, and ensuring accurate data entry in a high-throughput setting.

You'll unpack and route specimens, label them correctly, and assist with packing and shipping to testing facilities. The work schedule is Monday–Friday with a rotating Saturday shift, supporting our commitment to timely patient results.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more lab/production experience.
• 1 year or more medical or production experience.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
