Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Edison, NJ. Mon-Fri 7:00pm–3:30am, with rotating Saturdays. The role involves preparing specimens for analysis, unpacking, labeling, and routing to staging areas, and ensuring accurate data entry for patient information.

Responsibilities include meeting department production goals, packing and shipping specimens, and resolving any problematic samples. Minimum HS diploma; 1+ year lab/production experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• 1+ year medical or production experience.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
