Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Raritan, NJ. You will prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, unpack and route specimens, label accurately, and pack and ship to testing facilities.

This role supports high-throughput operations with data entry responsibilities, a 2nd shift schedule (7:00pm–3:30am) and a comprehensive benefits package. A High School diploma or GED is required; prior lab or production experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of medical or production experience.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
