Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Specimen Technician for our Alpharetta, GA location. The role focuses on supporting the Specimen Processing Department and ensuring accurate data entry and timely handling of specimens in a production setting.

Responsibilities include processing, imaging, and delivering specimens, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and adaptability to changing test orders. HS diploma required; laboratory experience preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of computers with preferred knowledge of laboratory testing and/or laboratory specimen processing.
• No experience required but previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical background preferred with medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
• Previous hospital laboratory experience is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience in a production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• General support functions within the Specimen Processing Department.
• Must have data entry background and ability to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour.
• Perform tasks such as A-station, presort, pickup/delivery of processed specimens, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting.
• Work with accuracy, productivity and adherence to safety and compliance policies.
• Communicate effectively with staff and adapt to daily changes in test orders.
