Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Specimen Technician for our Jackson, TN location to support the Specimen Processing Department. The role emphasizes data entry accuracy, speed, and compliance in a biohazard environment, with daily duties including labeling, tracking, and coordinating specimen flow to the laboratory.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn laboratory terminology.

Qualifications

• Data entry with high accuracy and speed.
• Typing speed of 6,000 keystrokes per hour or similar.
• Experience in a production or lab setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial.
• Ability to learn test ordering compliance changes.

Responsibilities

• Support Specimen Processing Department functions.
• Data entry background required.
• Handle specimen transport, imaging, centrifugation, and aliquoting as needed.
• Maintain accuracy, organization and timely work flow.
• Communicate effectively with staff and maintain clean work area.
