Labcorp in Tucker, GA seeks a Specimen Processor I to join our team in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will prepare and label specimens, route them to staging areas, and ensure accurate data entry while supporting daily production goals.

The role requires basic education, potential lab experience, comfortable handling specimens, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. A color vision test may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized colorblindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
