Heritage Valley Sewickley, within the Laboratory Department, seeks a Laboratory Processing Technician II to perform specimen collection and prepare all specimen types. You will assist with patient registration, lab report distribution, and clerical duties while upholding a professional demeanor.

The role requires a four-year high school diploma or GED with phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training and ACT 169 clearance; clearance (Acts 73/169) must be completed within 90 days where applicable.

Qualifications

• Four year high school graduate or GED equivalent with phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Training and ACT 169 clearance.
• Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• The Laboratory Processing Technician II is responsible for collection of specimens within the employee’s scope of training including legal specimen collection, and preparation of all specimen types.
• Assists with patient registration, laboratory report distribution and other clerical duties.
• Provides training and/or orientation for internal employees and external customers.
• Promotes and maintains a professional manner in all situations.
