Role Overview: The Laboratory Processing Technician II is responsible for performing EKGs, specimens within the employee’s scope of training including legal specimen collection, and preparing all specimen types. Assists with patient registration, laboratory report distribution, and other clerical duties. Handles troubleshooting of pre-analytical automation as assigned. Provides training and orientation for internal employees and external customers. Promotes and maintains a professional manner in all situations.

Requirements:

• Four year high school graduate or GED equivalent with phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Training and ACT 169 clearance.
• Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Preferred:

• A.S.C.P. certification in phlebotomy
