Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley is seeking a Laboratory Processing Technician II to perform EKGs, collect specimens, and prepare all specimen types within the employee’s scope of training. The role includes accessioning, centrifuging, aliquoting, and packing for courier pickup.

You will assist with patient registration and laboratory report distribution, provide training as needed, and help maintain a professional, courteous environment while supporting pre-analytical automation and clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training.
• ACT 169 clearance must be completed within 90 days of starting (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and specimen collection within training scope.
• Process and prepare specimens: accessioning, centrifuging, aliquoting, packing.
• Assist with patient registration, report distribution, and clerical duties.
