Job summary

Labcorp in Portland, OR is seeking a dedicated specimen management team member to act as liaison between the lab, clients and patients, ensuring accurate processing of specimens and clear communication.

The role supports multiple databases, prepares and labels specimens, and handles packaging and shipping while upholding Labcorp's commitment to quality, safety and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Management team in Portland, OR.

Work Schedule

Tues - Saturday 3:00am-11:30am, Rotating Sunday Coverage if needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.

Minimum Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior Labcorp experience
• Associates degree
• 6 months of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience

Additional Job Standards

• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
