Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated specimen management specialist to join the team in Portland, OR. You will act as a liaison between the lab, clients and patients, handling requests by phone, email and chat while ensuring accurate specimen processing.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with preferred Associates degree or prior Labcorp experience. You will work a Tuesday–Saturday shift, with physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs and color vision testing as part of the job.

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and pass color blindness test.

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.
  • Resolve internal & external requests via calls, instant messenger & email.
  • Communicate with customers in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Work in multiple databases to research issues and questions.
  • Provide customer education and information as needed.
  • Review test forms for accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.
  • Accurately identify and label specimens.
  • Pack and ship specimens as necessary.
  • Prepare and store excess specimen samples.

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their SpecimenManagementteam in Portland, OR.

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3:00am-11:30am, Rotating Sunday Coverage if needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.

Minimum Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

PreferredQualification:

  • Current or prior Labcorp experience
  • Associates degree
  • 6 months ofexperiencein amedical/clinical laboratory experience

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficientin MS Office
  • Ability tolift upto 40lbs.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
