UW Health is seeking a Specimen Control and Receiving Tech - Surgical Pathology in Madison, WI. The role starts with 100% FTE, Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–11pm, with pay-on bonuses and potential for sign-on eligibility.
The technician will receive specimens, verify labels, enter tests into LIS, perform basic instrument maintenance, and support clerical tasks. Daily collaboration with pathologists and staff is required.
100% FTE, Monday thru Friday 230pm-11pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
This position may be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).

High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Some post-secondary education in a healthcare or a related science field that may include course work in Medical Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician or Medical Laboratory Scientist degree/certification Preferred
6 months experience in lab, healthcare, customer service or data entry role Required
1 year healthcare or lab related work experience Preferred
Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent Preferred
