Job summary

Jobless seeks a Specimen Accessioner to handle receipt, tracking, and data entry in the LIMS with strict adherence to CLIA/CAP regulations. You will verify patient information, scan documents, and support interdepartmental communication to ensure data integrity and specimen traceability.

Under supervision, you will maintain SOP documentation, perform quality data entry, and help resolve accessioning issues while upholding high standards of accuracy and cleanliness in a clinical lab setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required with 1+ year of accessioning experience preferred.
• Medical background and terminology beneficial in a clinical lab.
• High accuracy and attention to detail essential.
• Ability to work independently with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming specimens to ensure proper transport and specimen integrity.
• Verify specimen information such as patient identification and test orders.
• Accurately and efficiently enter patient data and specimen information into the LIMS/operation metrics.
• Label specimens accurately according to the SOPs.
• Perform data entry pertaining to laboratory operations and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area.
• Assist with resolving accessioning issues including test requisition discrepancies or missing information.
• Communicate with Customer Service to escalate and resolve accessioning issues.
• Adhere to federal and state compliance regulations and company policies.
• Additional tasks as delegated by the Lead and Supervisor.
