Job summary

Caris Life Sciences is seeking a Specimen Processing Clerk I to support accessioning clinical cases and learning CLIA, CAP, and NYS regulations. You will work under supervision to follow standard lab procedures and ensure accurate documentation.

The role involves receiving specimens, case management, QA/QC activities, and collaboration with multiple departments to maintain data integrity and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.
• Available to work Tuesday-Saturday 2:00pm-10:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Open packages and video receipt of all incoming specimens for clinical processing.
• Create and manage patient cases including setting up new cases, updating current cases, entering specimens, attaching documents, and QA checks.
• Open and close specimen and case discrepancies to ensure timely processing.
• Collaborate with departments including Customer Support, Molecular - Liquid Profiling, Compliance, Reporting, Patient Billing, PA's, Pharma Research Operations, and Biorepository.
• Maintain filing, tracking, retrieval, and accurate record keeping.
