Acoufelt, a Manhattan-based provider of soft architectural acoustics, seeks a Specification Manager to grow design specifications in NY region (Manhattan north of 40th St and remaining NY state). You'll partner with architects and interior designers to integrate Acoufelt solutions into projects, without closing deals.

You will collaborate with inside sales and the special projects teams to manage opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in architectural product or specification sales within the A&D community.
• Proven ability to develop relationships with architects and designers.
• Experience in consultative selling and presenting CEUs to design firms.
• Strong presentation skills and CRM/microsoft Office proficiency.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Based in New York City with reliable personal vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with architects and designers to increase brand awareness and drive specification.
• Identify and create new opportunities by engaging A&D firms and presenting Acoufelt's solutions.
• Deliver product presentations and CEUs to design firms, positioning Acoufelt as the preferred solution.
• Track and document all activities and opportunities in CRM with accurate project details.
• Collaborate with inside sales and the special projects team to ensure smooth handoff toward pricing and bidding.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity to strategically position Acoufelt.
• Follow up with designers and stakeholders to keep Acoufelt top of mind during specification.

As a Specification Manager region 21.2, Manhattan - North of 40th Street + Remaining NY State, your primary responsibility is to develop relationships and drive product specification within the architecture and design (A&D) community. You will focus on getting Acoufelt's solutions integrated into project designs by working closely with architects and interior designers.

You will not be responsible for closing deals or managing transactions. Instead, your success will be measured by the number and value of specifications generated and the growth of Acoufelt's revenue within your region. You'll collaborate with inside sales, and the special projects team to ensure opportunities move through the pipeline effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with architects and designers to increase brand awareness and drive specification.

• Consistently follow up with designers and project stakeholders to keep Acoufelt top of mind throughout the specification process.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of success in architectural product sales or specification sales within the A&D community.


• A relationship-driven professional with a passion for working with architects and designers.


• Experience in consultative, solution-based selling, particularly in the commercial interiors sector.


• Strong presentation skills and the ability to deliver CEUs and educational sessions.


• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office for tracking opportunities and maintaining pipeline visibility.


• Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.


• Must be based in the New York City.


• Must have reliable access to a personal vehicle for job-related travel.
