Allegion is seeking a Specification Consultant to create hardware sets and master specifications for architectural projects across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. You will review shop drawings, ensure code compliance, and guide product applications from initial concepts through installation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Architectural Services Consultants and Sales, mentoring on electro‑mechanical solutions, and staying current with market trends and competitive activity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of industry experience preferred.
• CDT Credential preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, including access control and software.
• Advanced understanding of electricity and electronic components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action.
• AHC Credential preferred.
• Ideal candidate will live within the Greater Minneapolis, MN market, with openness to MN, ND or SD.

Responsibilities

• Create technical hardware sets and specifications for the architectural community, including code compliance for new construction projects and aftermarket requests.
• Provide solutions to architects on product application requirements.
• Participate in pre and post installation meetings; assist with revisions and information requests during all project phases.
• Communicate strategic project information to Architectural Services Consultant to shape project strategy for sales.
• Mentor others on electro‑mechanical products and solutions including access control and software.
• Coordinate door hardware requirements and conflicts (access control, electrical, specialty doors).
• Work with Architectural Services Consultant to deliver a positive customer experience and fulfill project commitments.
• Maintain industry knowledge by reviewing market data and adapting to changes.
