Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Specification Consultant to provide hardware specifications and expert analysis for architectural projects across multiple Dakotas and Minnesota. You will craft technical sets, review shop drawings, and coordinate with architects and sales to ensure compliant, effective door-security solutions.

The role emphasizes electrical components, access control, and collaboration across teams, with opportunities to mentor others in electro-mechanical products.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of industry experience preferred.
• CDT credential preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions for access control and facilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Create technical hardware sets and specs for architectural community, ensuring code compliance for new construction and aftermarket requests.
• Provide solutions to architects on product application requirements.
• Participate in pre/post installation meetings; assist with revisions and access-control coordination.
• Coordinate project strategy with Architectural Services Consultant and Sales Team.
• Mentor others on electro-mechanical products, access control and software.
