Job summary
Allegion is seeking a Specification Consultant for Minnesota, North Dakota or South Dakota to deliver expert door hardware specifications and architecture-focused solutions. You will edit master specifications, review shop drawings, and coordinate with distributors on project requirements, ensuring code compliance and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years in the industry, strong communication, and knowledge of mechanical/electronic solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
- CDT credential preferred; AHC credential preferred.
- 10+ years industry experience preferred; strong written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Create technical hardware sets and specifications for architectural community.
- Provide solutions to architects on product application requirements.
- Coordinate pre/post installation meetings and assist with revisions and RFIs.
- Communicate project strategy and changes with Architectural Services Consultant and Sales Team.
- Mentor others on electro-mechanical products including access control and software.
- Coordinate door hardware requirements including access control and electrical needs.
